Went to see it today also, actually seen you there hammer. It was great took me back to being a kid. A bit over the top at times but it's shit like that, that makes me love indy movies.

The action scenes are rubbish, what is left of the film is junk. Raiders had the truck bit and the fight with the big fuck off german under the plane. This film barely manages a feeble comedy motorbike chase. GUMPH

Speilberg went a bit crazy with his ending....the swinging through the trees with monkeys was cheesey, but hey, Mr Fords still got it.
Made me giggle a lot, thought it was great in a cringworthy cheesey brilliant way.

Utter mince, still it took me on the nostalgia trip I was needing.
The whole fridge scene was a joke and love how he just walks out after it detonates and doesn't suddenly feel the effects of radiation and die. Had a feeling it was gonna be aliens when they broke into the base it had roswell and area51 written all over it to me.

I was pretty sure it was daniel jacksons grandfather that found the crystal skull though...

And quite literally.... in 20 foot print no less.

I thought this was terrible, and the "It's Indy" line doesn't cut it for me, people let Lucas etc away with this shit all the time, it's part of a much loved series so we'll let it be shit and say it's good. Let's not forget Temple Of Doom is fuckin shite. One review i read of this claimed it was good because it didn't rely heavily on CGI like modern blockbusters.. PAH. On the subject - easily the worst ILM produced work i've seen.

Oh aye... Shia Lebeouf - Stick to playin geeks, The Marlon Brandon impression didn't work.

And for people that want a nostalgia trip, watch one of the original series, this one just made me feel resentment towards the whole thing.

Dark Knight trailer was mint on the big screen but

I really wanted to see this until endless_psych told me the ending in an "I was going to watch the new Indiana Jones film until someone told me that it's ****** and ruined the ending for me" conversation. That's a bit like going up to someone who hasn't seen The Sixth Sense and saying "I was going to watch that Bruce Willis movie about the kid who can see ghosts until someone told me that Bruce Willis is actually dead for 90% of it".

I actually said "Bag of Shite" as the credits came up for this, trouble is after not speaking (in awe of the mince special effects, poor one liners and frankly ludicrous sequences) for 2 hrs it was more of a croaky shout that the whole audience heard. Got a few sniggers of agreement though...
