| Re: Children of Men Looooved this. Love love love.
Went to see it tonight, and then me and Kenny talked about it all the way home
Left me completely in awe, really. I kept going over it all in my head. I was really impressed by the realism of it all, and I really didn't expect it to be as harrowing as it was (in a good way!). I think I was expecting a load of futuristic shiny Hollywood effects, but it's just not like that at all.
Fantastic stuff from Clive Owen. 5 stars for me |

If you mean the reasons for infertility, why the world got like it was, why Julian was a terrorist etc... the answers are sort of there, they just don't spell them out.
I got the impression that Cuaran wanted us to imagine, with our own ideas, how Britain had become this way.
If you don't mean all of the above then I don't know, lalala |

| Re: Children of Men a lot has to be taken from whats going on in the background - the newspaper clippings, sandwich boards etc
but some of the bigger questions, arent answered as far as I can see.
it will frustrate some, but a lot of the images and the overall 'nativity feel', kind of suggests, that the bigger questions are not so important - no matter how bleak life can be, with what seems like no hope, there is always a light at the end of that tunnel.

| Re: Children of Men So just do it! You don't talk to anyone in the cinema anyway. Or at least you're not supposed to
I don't mind going to the cinema on my own, it makes me feel less bourgeoise... |
