| Re: Watchmen (Alan Moore) This next question is a bit of a spoilerz!!!1 for anyone who hasn't read the book so tread carefully:
When 'Watchmen' was in development a few years ago (I think around the time David 'THE MUTHAFUCKIN' GUYVER' Hayter was angling to direct it) there was a lot of talk of changing the ending as apparently the studio wasn't too keen on financing a major motion picture that ends with a terrorist attack on NYC (especially one where the attack is staged in order to create a fake enemy to further a political and social agenda, I'd imagine). There was a huge outcry at the time regarding this, as changing the ending to 'Watchmen' would be, y'know, FUCKING INSANE. Has anyone heard anything about how this is going to be handled now? I guess 'Cloverfield' shows it's okay to fuck up NYC again, although that scenario is obviously far less close-to-the-bone.
If anything, I worry that they'll keep the original ending but make the parallels to our recent political situation so fucking obvious that I'll want to gouge my own eyes out, Sam Neill in 'Event Horizon' stylee.

| Re: Watchmen (Alan Moore) The comic is set in a retrofuturistic 1985, which gives the film a lot of leeway. |

That pic is cool but the whole thing still stinks of 'WATCHMEN BABIES' from 'The Simpsons'.
