| Nick Cage: Good or Bad. Following on from a discussion I was having with mate.
Nick Cage seems to be held in reasonably high regard amongst actors, but most of his recent work is utter tripe...He seems to be determined to ruin all his reputation after doing all that great stuff early on in his career.
So now, after: Ghost Rider, Lord of War, Next, National Treasures, City of Angels... is he just shit?

| Re: Nick Cage: Good or Bad. I thought Lord Of War was excellent, I was really shocked at how good his performance was in comparison with most of the crap he's done in recent years. Next looks like a pile of daytime TV shit and I'm at a loss to why they're filming a sequel to National Treasure. |

| Re: Nick Cage: Good or Bad. Lord of War was a bit rubbish though.
There seemed to be big parts of the movie missing.
For the sake of argument you can leave Lord of War out, the majority of his recent work is really poor though.
of course he's nothing on Cuba Gooding Jr.

Kevin Smith does a great impression of Nick Cage's acting style: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vgYhLIThTvk

| Re: Nick Cage: Good or Bad. He's amazing. That hair in Next? That's fucking great. Oscar-worthy.
Seriously, though what's wrong with an actor who chooses to entertain? Ghost Rider and National Treasure were completely enjoyable nonsense, mindnumbing entertainment scraping the bottom recesses of intelligence, but fun nonetheless. So has Cage done his job well? Who knows.

Neither of which I really disliked, to be honest, but most people seem to. I actually quite liked Ghost Rider as well.
