| Re: Doomsday (set in post-apocalyptic Glasgow) If you can ignore some really awful lines this film is awesome. Yes, everything about it is ripped straight from Escape From New York as well as a handful of other films, but I'm okay with that and the ending is almost too ridiculous to believe, but in a good way. |

| Re: Doomsday (set in post-apocalyptic Glasgow) This looks awful. The trailer should show some of the best bits. I hope in this case that is not true as if those are the best bits... I am not sure I can be arsed to see this and I have seen some amount of shite this year at the cinema.

Actually, it's a superb film. It intentionally homages Mad Max, Escape From New York, The Warriors and loads of classic movies. It's not 28 Days Later and doesn't want to be. This film is a lot of fun, looking back at the days when films like The Running Man were still being made by big studios.
It has lots of gore and lots of bits that'll make you laugh, the main problem with reviews that I've read are that they've tried taking the film too seriously. I'm actually hoping that they make an equally tongue in cheek sequel. |

Film looks completely garbage, but will prob have a look since it's based in Scotland.
