| Re: Doomsday (set in post-apocalyptic Glasgow) ......................and back to the movie
Really enjoyed it, went in expecting mindless violence and a bit of humor and wasn't disappointed.
Story itself is actually ok and loved the car chase when Frankie goes to hollywood kicked in!!!

| Re: Doomsday (set in post-apocalyptic Glasgow) Really liked it!
See where they first went into that entrance in the side of the mountain?
Almost certain it's part of the Loch Sloy power station near Ben Vane/Ben Vorlich at the side of Loch Lomond.
Was a movie that didn't take itself seriously, exactly as Gill pointed out.
Mad Max/Warriors/Escape from New York.
Final car chase didn't look like Scotland though, could be wrong.

| Re: Doomsday (set in post-apocalyptic Glasgow) I heard the filmed quite a bit of it in South Africa - I've not seen it so I can't say which bits for sure, but that's what I heard.
I really want to see this - might go next weekend. |

Tower Bridge, London, England, UK | Suddenly I feel a patriotic urge to see this movie. Actually Cape Town has a large movie industry as it has loads of spectacular locations and is relatively cheap to shoot in. http://www.southafrica.info/about/arts/film.htm http://www.filmmaker.co.za/filmnews.php |
