Right, this is a freeze-frame of what appears to be the big-ass monster thing: 
This is a 5 second video loop of it moving to give you a better idea of it's size. It's hosted on Photobucket and I can't seem to save it properly, so here is a link while it's still there.
Now for a picture that was mentioned already in this thread of what seems to be a person (perhaps the girl in the images I attached above) behind held by two people in biohazard suits, this one shows the expansion:  Tentacles coming out of her as she expands, or perhaps just cabling behind her?
Now for some fan-art of interpretations of the big-ass monster thus far:

Well, it definitely seems as if it'll be some sort of whale/squid-like monster anyway... Don't know if this has been mentioned already, but there's a site linked to this called Tagruato which talks about deep-sea drilling and some sort of genetic research and marine biotechnology. Looks interesting.
