Alot of folk on Digg are suggesting it's a new Godzilla film. Either way, it looks quite interesting.

I think it's more likely to be a Godzilla-esque film rather than an official Godzilla movie.

I caught this and didn't realize 1-18-08 was the title, figured it for release date shenanigans. That trailer is a pisser though - it's screaming VIRAL ADVERTISING - since it's all we talked about at the 4th of July bbq yesterday (asides from how much Transformers was certainly the best robot movie of the summer)

1-18-08 is the release date, the title hasn't been released yet.

Just noticed this on Yahoo

Its a film produced by J.J. Abrams that has a trailer attached to The transformers movie. I've only managed to see 1 horrible Cam from a movie theatre but it looks great.

Its one hell of a marketing campaign.

The above quote translates to "In his house at R'lyeh, dead Cthulhu awaits dreaming."

Cthulhu is a fictional monster created by H.P. Lovecraft. R'lyeh is the underwater city that Cthulhu resides in that rises up to the surface in the story Call of Cthulhu (1928).

Those meteorites seen in the trailer could possibly be the offspring of Cthulhu called Cthulhi. Because they are referred to as star-spawn.

The trailers keep popping up on youtube, but the Paramount lawyers must be doing some overtime since they're rarely up for more than a few hours.

This looks pretty sweet though.

Also there is talk of this being related to either A) another godzilla movie and B) a DARK TOWER movie

I don't really know anything about stephen kings peice of shit so I don't know how possible that is or how the trailer could relate to the story.
