| Musicals Love them or hate them? I know people who will refuse to watch them on the gorunds that "all musicals are shite". Thoughts? I'm a huge sucker for them personally. |

| Re: Musicals They'd better get their arses in gear and adapt Wicked and do the Avenue Q TV Special that has been bandied about.
In the mean time, there's always Rent.

| Re: Musicals i've played in 22 in the last four years so that puts me somewhere between "addict" and "maniac" i think.
i'm off to see Fiddler on the Roof at the Kings tonight.
you should all go to!
tickets available here: http://www.theambassadors.com/kings/sp_p3917.html
in general i prefer them on stage to on screen, partly because a few great ones have been worsened in the transition - most notably Cabaret, in which the movie version drops a load of good songs and characters from the stage show and replaces them with crap. and OOOOOOOOOh-klahoma in the movie version of which Jud's song is dropped cause the actor couldn't sing (great bit of casting, that) and he turns into a kind of Frankenstein's monster parody.

| Re: Musicals More often than not, I can't stand them, and generally tend to avoid them. Having said that, I did enjoy "Jerry Springer: The Opera" to a great extent.
