Yes, "The bloodiest Bond yet" is being thrown around in relation to QoS, but I somehow doubt it's actually going to compare to LTK in that regard.

Anyone else think that there isn't much excitement from the public about new Bond films these days? The producers think we all want a gritty, realistic, vulnerable Bond. I don't, they have Jason Bourne for that now. Casino Royale seemed more like Bourne than Bond to me, I want them to return to the witty, over the top, action packed, unrealistic threat to the world Bond that made the franchise so popular in the first place. | |

First things first, I'm a huge Bond fan. Huge.
Now that that's cleared up.
This movie is a mess.
It's all over the place.
I've not got time to give it the full "once over" the now, I'll return for that. But you know what this movie is, a huge let down.

Seems to be the general concensus. Still, Vanessa Feltz was invited to a press screening of this and turned up all dressed to the nines thinking she was at the official premiere. So that's one good thing this has going for it so far. | |

Well every review that I've heard, seen or read has said that the film is a bit of a mess and lacks direction. Of course, iMDB never gets things wrong at all or has ever been suspected of vote rigging. If you look at the breakdown of the votes you'll see that nearly 33% of them gave it 10/10 and those scoring it highest were females over 45, when males from that category were rating it lower than anyone else - so mum will like it more than dad. Rotten Tomatoes is open to the same possibility for vote rigging. As i said, I'm going based on actual reviews, not a public opinion poll, of only 635 people so far, from teh interwebs. So here, a breakdown of highly rated movies on iMDB from '94-'07, each with over 2000 votes. Quote:

My results? 2007 has over double the previous year's 8s and it seems like there's been a trend since 2003 for higher and higher ratings. And 2003 wasn't exactly a banner year imo...even the weak years of the 2000s trump every single year from 94-99...
