| Re: Equilibrium The dialogue is fairly terrible. I personally can't watch it when Bale stops his dose (the varying looks on his face just scream 'I'm.....I'm experiencing something. A strange sensation. Could these be..............FEELINGS?!?').
However, if you'd seen the trailer like I did and though 'Hmmm, I bet this film is about a dude FUCKING PWNING EVERYTHING IN HIS PATH LIKE A LEGEND!!!' then there's no way to be disappointed.

'Equilibrium' is my second-favorite film. Period. Not just because I think the world of mad Christian Bale, but because there's some sweet-ass action scenes.
Plus, I'd like a little dose of Proseum myself every so often. 'Taint such a horrid idea IMO.

Oh! I just remembered the bit where Bale spins the two guys' guns around and shoots them in the faces with their own guns. That's the one bit where you could reasonably claim a similarity to The Matrix.

| Re: Equilibrium I thought it was out before the matrix:/ I think that's just because I seen it before I saw the matrix...I liked it. My friend made me watch it after describing it as "bang bang bang die die die die! slicey slice slice BANG A BANG BANG!" while doing gun and sword actions, So it was a lot better than I thought it would've been. The kids in it are propa creepy wee bastards though.

What I meant is that the director has probably told him 'Right Christian, this character you're playing is beginning to feel emotions. However, he has never felt an emotion is his life. So you have to be feeling those emotions but have no idea how to deal with, or portray them.'
What you end up with is a pretty good actor looking vaguely confused for about 10 minutes in a film you're only watching to see some skulls busted.

Nono, that is Christian Bales only face. Much like Keauneau Reeves can't express emotion, at all.
Maybe he should have been in Equilibrium. |

| Re: Equilibrium Reeves could have Equilibrium but I doubt he could have pulled off American Psycho for example.
In that film he does at least 20 different expressions albeit all indirectly linked to 80's style upper-class smugness or murdering.
