| Y: The Last Man I can almost hear the comic book graphic novel fans shrieking with horror... Quote:
Filmmaker D.J. Caruso tells SciFiWire he’s turned in a screenplay for “Y The Last Man” and, pending Warner Bros.’ approval, hopes the big-screen adaptation of Brian K. Vaughan’s comic-book series will be shooting by early next year.
Caruso, who directed Shia LaBeouf in “Disturbia” and “Eagle Eye,” says LaBeouf is his first choice to play Yorick, the last male human on a planet of women, and that he expects the actor should be available for the role.

And aye, it's a comic book. It was published monthly in 22 page pamphlets, so it's a comic book.
I think LaBeouf is a decent enough choice for this. He's a wee bit young but I'm sure they can do something about that.

| Re: Y: The Last Man As much I would like to punch Shia LaBeouf in the mouth continuously for all time I can't really think of anyone better within that age range.
Ideally, Yorick would be Paul Rudd from about the time 'Clueless' came out. Actually, ideally they will forget the whole idea altogether and never make this film.

| Re: Y: The Last Man I hear Fox are thinking about doing another 'Daredevil' movie because, y'know, it's like a third of their superhero properties. I hereby start the petition to cast Paul Rudd as Matt Murdock. He's likeable, he's handsome, he could probably kick your cunt in.
In fact, that should be the tagline for 'Daredevil II: Electric Boogaloo'.

| Re: Y: The Last Man Too likeable maybe? I can't really see Rudd pulling off the totally misogynistic characteristics needed for a good Murdock without it coming off as comedic.

| Re: Y: The Last Man "Y: the last man" as a film...no. Wrong. But as a TV series...hmmm. I can only wish, I suppose.
And I would have gone for a younger Edward Norton as Yorick. |
