I liked it and would go so far to say that it is pixars best visuals to date. It reminded me of It's A Wonderful Life in More than a few places.
The short at the beginning, Partly cloudy was good as well. It had the same good old cartoon vibe as Boundin' and Presto and while poking a bit of fun at Disney's 'fluffy bunny' aesthetic.

There are two genuine "punched in the gut" moments in the first, what, 10 minutes? Every adult in the cinema was sobbing, could just hear kids going "mummy, are you alright?". Great movie, looks fucking stunning.

I've seen this twice now, the emotional bits are superbly done considering it's an animation. Definitely the most rounded Pixar movie so far. | |
