| "9" tim burton think a mix of tool-sober video with the matrix,
I was of the opinion tim burton wasn't really trying after nightmare but this blew me away,
don't download it, all the copies are terrible, pay the £6 and watch it in the cinema

| Re: "9" tim burton no his short was ok, but the amount of input and direction added by working with burton turned into a feature i would actually sit and watch, without burton on board it risked being another badly funded poor quality crap Independent, had it raised any discussion in the 4 months since AL's post i might have mentioned the obvious touches of Bekmambetov's influence but figured highlighted burton making an effort would be enough to get some feedback instead of a smart arse atempt at a one-up as usual

Besides which, it wasn't an attempt at a one-up. Since Shane Acker is the director I thought it would be fair that they at least get a mention, since people watching the trailer might be left under the impression that it's a Burton movie. Anyway, here is the short. |

| Re: "9" tim burton then im sorry i took it that way, its kinda what i've grown used to here, yes Bekmambetov's influence is highly visible in this, i had focused on burton, for all he is talented lot's of the stuff he has been producing and directing is just old stuff redone with his touches added i.e. sleepy hollow, willy wonkathe upcoming alice in wonderland, and Frankenweenie
This stood out as a film he had made an effort to be involved in and influence rather than just being involved for a paycheck.

| Re: "9" tim burton To be honest I'm rather worried that I see his name attached to Nineteen Eighty-Four, nothing will beat the Peter Cushing version - and NO, I'm not taking the piss. If you want to see a good 1984 then watch the old BBC Sunday Night Theatre version which was mostly live, it includes all the good bits that the eighties version missed out. You'll have to torrent it though.
