TBH if we're gonna talk about amazing 'batman' comics you should get the Batman Judge Dredd Files they are f00king awesome comics the artwork is off the scale.

Hush is no bad as well.

Oh I can be and I am It was brilliant. The only thing I preferred from Burton's was Gotham City. I preferred the darker, gothic city. But overall I felt Begins was the best.

some of the artwork in Hush is utterly superb, like the slighly subtle watercolour style flashback scene's like the one with Bruce and Tommy in Metroplis when Green Lantern flies over, beautifull. I thought a lot of the Artwork was really cliched and obvious though. Typical Jim Lee really.

Its pretty well written though, Jeff Loeb is a great batman writter.

Not quite a batman book, but Catwoman "the dark end of the street" by Brubaker and Cooke is a totally underated classic. If you liked sin city, read it. (its a lot lighter, but has the same retro Noir style.)

I would say if you liked Sin City you should read Broken City, Hush is light weight superhero rubbish compared to the 100 Bullet's Chanderlesque Gotham tale.

Was broken City the Azzarello and Rizzio story just after Hush?

If so, aye, it was bloody good. It wasn't even Close to being as good as 100 bullets though.

If you enjoyed Broken City i recomend the Brian Bendis and Alex Malleev daredevil.

Theres acctually very little superman or superpowers involved in it. Its a comic about Luthor and what motivates his hatred of superman.
