Jenpot, any movie with Tom Cruise in it, can never be described as "Best Movie Ever".
What ye thinking?!
GLASGOW RANGERS CHAMPIONS
OH OH OHHHH OHHHTom Morello - ''Joe Strummer played as if the world could be changed by a three-minute song, he changed my world''
I think it'd have been a lot better if it had been someone else other than Cruise. It was hard to feel sorry with Cruise and that. It had a decent plot and that but Cruise ruined that film.
Its hard for a movie to be "brilliant" and having a heavy shite lead actor.

vanilla sky without shitecruise, still has goodcruz tho (much better film too)
Vanilla Sky is awful. Tries too hard to be artsy and off beat and winds up unintentionally hilarious at times. Donnie Darko and The Fountain fall into similar categories.

I want to teach the world, but not a song.
I need to tell them where they're going wrong:
To trust to serendipity not fate:
To just believe your heart and conjugate.
MurderballEasily pretty much my fave film of all time
I love it![]()
One of my favourite films ever is 10 Things I Hate About you. Doesn't have any particular 'merit' other than being watchable as fuck, and I happen to think it's hilarious. Didn't get half the jokes in it when I was 14 but I reckon it gets funnier with time. Plus, big Heath prances about serenading a bird
Thanks Marc for summing up what I was trying to say and doing it four years ago (Y) I enjoy American Beauty but it seems to think it's a lot more deep and meaningful than what it is. Plus (I'll probably get battered for this) I think Kevin Spacey is one of the most overrated actors of his generation. I'm not saying he's not good, cos obviously he is, but I think there's too much hype around him![]()

Vanilla Sky starts off well, but quickly descends into pretension and ham-handed bullshit. Donnie Darko suffers from the same problem to a lesser extent. I prefer Southland Tales to either, as it gleefully embraces the total lack of conventional story rather than holding any pretensions to profundity.
I absolutely loved The Fountain too. Didn't make a lick of sense though.
Mark E. McKeown: I will NOT be graceful, I will SHOW MY WORKING.
Clear Air Turbulence: The best hardstyle money can buy.
Bunny & The Misshapes: Really?
