| Fantasy Movie Remake! Which film would you have remade in your twisted imagination? Who would play the lead role? Who else would star in it? Who'd direct it? Who'd do the score? What else would you do to make the thing better?
Let us know why you think it would make the movie better!

HERES MINE - pretty crappy but it gives you an idea
I'd remake Highlander with Peter Jackson as the director, because the battles in it are absolutely dire, plus his eye for great locations would make the movie far more visually stunning than it is.
I'd cast a sexier leading lady than the quite ugly detective Brenda, who becomes Macleod's love interest. Helena Bonham carter comes to mind as someone who could pull off the role and bring a bit more edgyness to the performance than the unmemorable Roxanne Hart.
I'd have a proper Scottish actor playing Connor Macleod / Russell Nash, someone like Robert Carlyle, because Christopher Lambert just doesn't cut it. The accent for starters is terrible and the faux laughter is pretty poor too. Carlyle would be able to bring more authenticity to the role of the affected type, I think Lambert just looks moody most of the time rather than scarred.
The Queen soundtrack is amazing and Connery is great as Juan Sanchez Villa-Lobos Ramirez, no need to tamper with that

| Re: Fantasy Movie Remake! I think a remake of The Wizard of Oz is overdue, I reckon its a pretty dark film and theres a lot of potential there for a Tim Burton or other to run riot. |

| Re: Fantasy Movie Remake! A Nightmare on Elm Steet would be fucking amazing remade with some subtle CGI scenes added and complimenting the awesome tricks of the camera that we saw in the first movie. If the CGI is overdone it would ruin it so I must underline not too much CGI! Plus it'd be a good reason to film a little 45 min short film on the reign of Freddy before he was killed to stick in the Special Features of the DVD, I've always wanted to see that.
Obviously starring Robert Englund as Freddy Krueger now he's about the age Freddy would have been back in the 80's, oh and the film has to be set in 1984, Bruce Campbell should be Nancy's dad, Nancy can be played by anyone other than Lindsey Lohan, Jennifer Love-Hewitt, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Jessica Alba, Jessica Biel, Jessica Simpson (how stupid a Hollywood evil-cloner do you have to be to name all your clones Jessica) or Paris Hilton. Actually, any actress who has had or possibly might in the future aspire to have a singing career should not be allowed within 10 miles of the movie (consider how fucking DUMB they are before giving them the role basically). Johnny Depp, John Saxon and Heather Langenkamp all have to make cameos or better yet grab the few adult roles on the movie and stick around for most of the filming. ALSO! I don't care if you have to spend £100m in this. I don't care if it makes the rating 18, I don't care if it ruins the reputation of the studio's, the director, the actors or humanity itself. Get Dakota Fanning, Haley Joel Osmond & Daveigh Chase in the movie and make Freddy skin them all alive or at least murder them in fantasticly horrible ways. Make Freddy an evil, scary bastard again.
Directed by David Fincher because Wes Craven has lost it.
Scored by Goblin. BECAUSE IT'S GOBLIN YOU FUCKS!

| Re: Fantasy Movie Remake! I'd remake Schindler's list.
As this is a fantasy movie remake I'd ask the late Stanely Kubrick to direct it.
The main star would be Kermit the Frog. The supporting cast and music would be by the rest of the muppets. Nobody make a pun about Gonzo being a Jew. I thought of that and that's just too far! |

| Re: Fantasy Movie Remake! I'd suggest The Graduate, but there is so little to improve on that it would be unfeasible.
If you're going down the CGI route, it's gotta be a live action remake of Metropolis.

It was bloody fantastic too... http://www.guardian.co.uk/arts/edinb...012242,00.html
