The Beautiful South - Manchester This week’s top sunny pop tune. Offers BS’s usual mix of boy n girl vocals over FM pop arrangements but sounds fresher than they have in ages.
Less Than Jake - Overrated A few years ago this may have made an impact but bratty pop punk has fallen by the way side and this is a poor effort from a band than usually guarantees at least one solid single an album. Ultimately it’s a Blink 182 album track.
Graham Coxon - You & I A perky, vaguely punky pop tune that resembles early Blur. Coxon always guarantees a good tune these days.
Delays - Hideaway Awful adult rock bilge. If CSN at their most coke addled were reborn as Snow Patrol they would sound like this.
Primal Scream - Country Girl They were more interesting as Kraut rock punks but this Stones gone country homage is a memorable little ditty. | | | |

I've found myself quite liking Mr Coxon of late, might well pick up the new album at some point.

I heard that Coxon song on TOTP, I was really disappointed, thought it was really boring.
Liking the Beauiful South though.
