[Punk] Gallows - Orchestra of Wolves

A punishing onslaught of energy and passion, Gallows have outdone themselves with the release of this explosive album. Orchestra of Wolves is the release of the 5-piece hardcore punk quintet and is set to take the world by storm.

Anything goes with this band, and that could be the key to their ever expanding fan-base. The lyrics are uncompromising and uncensored - think pure, raw, offensive and with enough power and aggression that could bleed your ears.

There is possibly something for every lover of the genre. Track 1, 'Kill the Rhythm' blasts through with enough anarchic intensity that would give any listener the desire to smash up the place. Frank Carter's demented toilet-flushing vocal could strip paint. Followed by the more loosely anthem-like 'Abandon Ship', Carter demonstrates the diversity of his vocals.

Kerrang! has been quoted describing Gallows as 'The most important UK punk band since The Clash', and while I can't agree with the sheer volume of that statement, this band is definitely one to watch and the album is more than worth a listen if you want to hear true passion and belief in music.

Best live band i've seen fronted by a small ginger psycho in ages .... and very nice blokes to boot.

Has anyone ever read or seen any interviews with this band? Embarrassing. Half the time they rattle on about truly awful bands, half the time they try and sound tough and the one that looks like the MAD magazine mascot talks about battering people in other bands.

LOL @ their "Black Flag logo" t-shirt designs as well. NME-centric bands spinning money from "punk rock credibility" FT fuckin' W.

i got this album to see what all the fuss was about, was horrible!
Loads of dischords and noisy music that doesnt really go anywhere, it isnt helped by the main man shouting his ginger lungs out over everything, I kept waiting for each track to pick up but none of them did. Except the single obv, its a razzer!

I do have to agree. They have some cool moments but for the most part it seems like a scenester's idea of a genre of music that's been done far better by lots of other bands minus the hype.

I keep hearing things about their live show and I'd be interested in checking it out but I'm gonna go out on a limb and say it probably won't blow my mind half as much as, say, the last Hot Snakes tour.
