I’m not quite sure why, there doesn’t appear to be much new on display here. Solid indie tunes and Syd Barret tinged numbers but in all honesty listening to this album a lot of the songs wouldn’t sound out of place on the soundtrack to an episode of Heartbeat. That to my mind just doesn't scream vital and no amount of “trippy guitar” effects escape the fact that its all been done before (and done better).
Not to say the songs or album is bad, its hard to actively dislike, theres a air of familiarity about the album but its more like a casual acquaintance then a long lost friend.
In short the album’s by no means bad its just unlikely to set the heather alight. | | | |

He said Gasgow not Glasgow. I'm reliably informed that the inhabitants of Gasgow have to walk around backwards due to the wanton headturning instigated by this band. They're a menace and they must be stopped.
Seriously though, the answer to your question is I have actually heard of this band... In the sense that I saw a poster in Sleazys and said to myself 'That is the worst name for a band since Chevy and the Chasers'. And then my mind was opened an absolute peach.
Edit: Christ, I never learn. I'll wake up tomorrow to an angry PM on MySpace from this band.

| Re: The Fast Camels - The Magic Optician On that note, their MySpace is here.
Apologies to Endless Psych - I forgot to add it on earlier.
It is pretty inoffensive stuff - not bad, but nothing special. Might be good background music in a pub or something. |

| Re: The Fast Camels - The Magic Optician I've seen them and they were solid enough at what they do.
Although solid is just something to say about a band when you've nothing good to say but don't want to say something bad ain't it?
Yeah they done a pretty good cover of a Love song, that made it worth watching for me |

Sorry, I couldn't be bothered continuing the weather theme. I'm far too tired to work out what would be equivalent to a private message when referring to a hurricane.
