Mesh 29 - Over The Barricade
Ponderous piano balladry

Mesh 29 - Over The Barricade

There's nothing wrong with a bit of piano. That's not my main complaint about Mesh 29's Over The Barricade. I can think of many songs that utilise pianos in a swell manner, except Don't Stop Me Now because that's shit.

More gritty than Keane, though that is hardly difficult, this is a mid paced anthem of the usual indie fodder albiet well crafted and well sung it's not anything the record buying masses haven't heard before with more passion. Bonus points however for the lovely, stirring B side Cigarettes which would have made for a better A side.

Hear the aside via http://www.mesh29.com/index.htm. Out now.
