The Kills. Rubbish name for transatlantic duo Alison Mosshart and Jamie Hince who’re here to unleash new single U.R.A. Fever which is a verbal gag even New Bomb Turks would think twice about.

Minimal dirty electro n’ roll song that’s mopes along, wired with tension and you wait with bated breath for something to erupt but it never does. Stuck in a rut U.R.A. Fever won’t even give you a slight sniffle.

Sounds like remixed Royal Trux bside.

Shame. Their first album was killer, the second a mediocre retread and this forthcoming third … ‘meh’.

Likewise on the live front. They were electrifying on their first headline tour but dull on their second. Didn’t bother going to see them after that.

Still can’t quite get used to the idea that it’s Alison from Discount and Jamie from Scarfo.

hmm. i did see a piece that they did for an exhibit on Andy Warhol, it was a giant collection of polaroid and lomo images. it's a lot like this, you expect there to be a focus, but there isn't. just lots of images that all have a sortof similar theme, but no real focal point to it.
