No Remote - never heard of them? There's a reason for that. What a waste of time. Musically bland with a singer who can't decide between hero worshipping the Muse vocalist or the shortarse from Placebo. Honestly, sometimes I genuinely can't imagine what record companies are thinking. These guys must have got a fair amount of cash to write and record an album and have managed to produce something less pleasurable than listening to kittens being tortured.

I know I'm in trouble for taking ages to review this album (sorry Woolies!) but after listening to it the first time it was an absolute chore to put it on again. I genuinely can't think of a good thing to say about Shadow Boxing other than the CD will double as a nice coaster next time I have a cup of tea. Or a frisbee if I happen to be feeling slightly more energetic. The problem is I can't even work up some decent vitriol towards the album or the band. It doesn't even stand out as an example of...

Nothing wrong with responding to a review of your music.

The passive-aggressive tone of the response does make the guy come off a little...bitchy.

That is the name of one of their songs, but you must have the wrong band, since, well-- "doesn't seem that bad"?

First song on their MySpazz, and it's woeful. Sort your lugs out. The guy's got a really flat, boring voice without an inch of depth to it, and the main riff sounds like it's being played by someone who's never seen a guitar before. A thalidomide baby who's never seen a guitar before.

That's the right song, right band. Hey just cos I don't like it doesn't mean it's entirely without merit to others.

I think the review set me up to expect a lot worse. Don't get me wrong - I hope I never hear the song again but it wasn't the worst thing I've ever heard.

End of Era is miles worse. It's like being trapped in someone's kitchen with a particularly tuneless wasp.

I'll forgive them if they write a song called My Kid's a Flid.

Hang on here - I never said I liked it!

I don't think it has any musical merit, but it's reasonably well produced - I was just a bit disappointed that it wasn't hilariously shit.
