| Glasgow Barrowlands, 07/07/05 Nice Inch Nails are really good. I’m fairly convinced of this fact, and I clung to it throughout the night. Like a raft, it bore me from island to island of great songs, scattered haphazardly in a sea of shitty tracks from With Teeth.
To be fair, this is the first time that I’d heard anything off the new album, so I hadn’t really had a chance to get to know any of these dreadful, dreadful songs. They are rubbish, though, when performed live. I can’t imagine that being on record helps them to suck any less.
Of course, no one was there to hear the band play stuff off of With Teeth. Contradict me all you want—you’re lying. About halfway through the set Ninchy Nails realised this and got on with their good songs. And how were they? Well, they were good.
Mostly good. Occasionally things got kicked up into fucking excellent, but never for very long. Somewhere along the way NIN seem to have forgotten how to rock, which is terribly...

| Re: Live: Nine Inch Nails Despite my complete apathy at the start of the night, I ended up having a brilliant time!
I'll agree with Idle here and say that 'Something I Can Never Have' was absolutely amazing! Probably my first favourite song of the night. In fact, I thought it was all good. |

| Re: Live: Nine Inch Nails I'm a huge NIN fan, and i found that gig pretty damn boring. What a rubbish choice of songs. I like the new album, don't get me wrong... but you just don't play a set full of them. Not even NIN can get away with that. Ok, 3 songs off of broken was cool, as were the 3 off of PHM.
Bit dissapointed, here.
Yeah, who was that guy with the long hair in the middle of the crowd who kept picking fights with anyone who so much as brushed by him? Fucking goth prick.

| Re: Live: Nine Inch Nails I agree the new songs are a bit pap but the old songs were brilliant. Thought they were outstanding. Goin to see them in London next week, lookin even more forward to it now after last night. Wish and Head Like A Hole were my highlights.

It was before they got the original line-up back. 2 gigs in a few months, first at the barras, 2nd at the garage. Bring the Noize and I'm the man were rolled out.... Class!
P.S. I detest Nine Inch Nails. Trent Reznor's an emo-kid..... LOL! |

| Re: Live: Nine Inch Nails The new songs weren't that bad, granted 'Love Is Not Enough' wasn't too good, but you must admit that 'The Line Begins To Blur' was fucking excellent.
I thought they evened out the setlist quite well. PHM got 3 (and a bit), as did Broken, The Downward Spiral got 4, The Fragile got 3 i think, and With(ah) Teeth(ah) got 5*. Not bad, since as they're touring the album.
*probably wrong. |

| Re: Live: Nine Inch Nails It's a NIN gig, man. What do you expect?
"NO JUMPING UP AND DOWN AND SCREECHING" rule on the tickets?
I had people interrupting my dance-grooves every 2 minutes because they wanted to go speak to their pals or go to the toilet and decided to go the most awkwardly shite way, I'm not going to moan about it! It did not stain the night at all, I SAW NINE INCH NAILS. |

Especially if you can't actually hear the music you paid to hear. |
