OkGo - A Million Ways

OkGo are from Chicago, home of such alterative rock giants as the Pumpkins, but instead of goth and metal influences this American outfit channel power pop via awkward indie rock. A fore-taster of their already American-released second record, OkGo’s forthcoming February single is called A Million Ways. Unfortunately, it does not do this band justice: their 2002 debut had many great moments including the Weezer-esque Get Over It. Ultimately this is a bass-heavy slice of 21st century new wave stutter pop that sparkles brightly without ever really shining.

Can't remember who I saw them support a couple of years ago but they were thoroughly mince!

Can't speak for them live, their debut was a good record.

I quite liked 'get Over It' and was a little disppointed that none of the other songs on their debut album were anywhere near as good. Probably won't bother with the latest effort.
