Traditional 1980s metal styles dominate this album, from Iron Maiden to Anthrax with added 21st century post hardcore twists. The pummeling grates after a while and the sometimes vaguely catchy vocal lines do well to carry the songs along when the metallic juddering is becoming repetitous.
When the band kick completely loose they are at their best,
The Mourning After being particularly vicious.
All in all,
This War Will Last Foever won't reshape the rock world, in fact sometimes it is very boring but at least it creates a damn good racket when it feels like it.
Mendeed have just finished a lengthy tour and this album is out on rising records,
