| Asides: Fall Out Boy, R Ashcroft, Therapy?, Coldcut and Giant Drag Fall Out Boy - Dance, Dance Aims to be JEW's Sweetness but falls far short. This is everything that stinks about modern commericial rock music, middle of the road pap tailored for middle of the road saps in baggy trousers. Where is a cultural apocalypse when you need one? Richard Ashcroft - Music Is Powerless Christ this is shite! Funk guitar fights with strings and a multitude of sounds for your attention as Ashcroft does his schtik over the top. Mince. Therapy? - Rain Hits Concrete Heard it all before but you can't deny Therapy? for their knack at writing Big Black flected pop punk. Catchy but sour! Giant Drag - This Isn't It - Surly yet sweet grunge pop that is half way between the Breeders and Veruca Salt. Contains a snazzy guitar solo at the half way mark that would make Mascis proud. Coldcut - True Skool - More memorable than it should be this...

| Re: Singles inc. Fall Out Boy, R Ashcroft, Therapy?, Coldcut and Giant Drag That was surely a case of more buzzwords than sense. |

| Re: Singles inc. Fall Out Boy, R Ashcroft, Therapy?, Coldcut and Giant Drag Funnily enough, the 'big meaty guitars' of the last album were achieved by kicking out the rhythm guitarist/cellist.
I didn't really like most of the cello parts anyway |

| Re: Singles inc. Fall Out Boy, R Ashcroft, Therapy?, Coldcut and Giant Drag I still maintain that their finest album was a live bootleg from the Troublegum tour. All the best of the Troublegum and pre-Troublegum tracks, none of the disappointments from afterwards, plus a comedy Black Sabbath cover.
I haven’t bought an album of theirs since, but I’ll always make the effort to go see them play.
