Planning to sell my Fender bass and not entirely sure what its worth. Help!

Hello all I need some advice.

I'm planning to sell my bass, It was given to me four or five years ago and I simply don't play it enough to justify owning it. As I'm planning to go back to uni next year I need as much cash as possible behind me, so the time to sell is now.

Its a fender jazz bass, (mexican) in good condition, I'm also planning to sell the flightcase thingy and a rather snazzy Vox amp.

As you can probably tell I dont know much about this, it was a well intentioned present but quite frankly its a better guitar than I will ever have any need for. I dont want to get ripped , or ask for so much that it'll never sell, Anyone care to recomend a ball park figure?

Also I may try and sell it to a guaitar shop rather than private sell as it will be much easier, any recomendations on where to go to do that?

Thanks!

Alright mate

Guitar shops wont give you a great price. Gumtree.com is pretty good for ads, as for price you, depdning on condition of course your looking from about £270-£290 with a hardcase.

depending on the amp as well of course, im assuming its a bassic practise amp? if so then anything up to £350 for the lot

but im no expert either haha
