| Gibson release more 'Robots' to the range Quote:
The Gibson Robot Les Paul Studio and Gibson Robot SG Special build on the success of the Limited Edition Gibson Robot Guitar, which was released late last year. The manufacturer claims demand has been so overwhelming that it decided to create two more of the self-tuning designs.
Both of Gibson’s latest model’s will be available in a metallic purple colour, but for a limited time only. So far, Gibson has only announced availability in the US, where the Les Paul costs $4000 (£2000/€2200) and the SG costs $3600 (£1800/€2000)

I had a quick look at the original version at the NAMM show, looks and feels just like any other Les Paul, but slightly heavier in the headstock.
Not being a guitar player, I couldn't tell you how it actually played.

| Re: Gibson release more 'Robots' to the range Aye man, if it had chrome hardware it would look a lot better.
The Epi's are no bad, but if you actually have the money for a better guitar, I'd imaginge it'd be a total let-down.
I had a swatch on the Guitar Guitar website. Not a massive fan of the place but thought I'd have a gander. They have a good range of lefty guitars, but not too many that I'd reckon would float yer boat.
Sound Control on the other hand have a pretty piss poor range of lefty guitars, BUT, they have this Hagstrom that you may/may not be interested in at a good price. http://www.soundcontrol.co.uk/mod_1/....1.1-215-18086

| Re: Gibson release more 'Robots' to the range Aye, I've got a Epi Gofff Explorer and it's actually no bad (but I'd just about bet my left nut that it's no made of mahogany!). Any other Epi I've tried has been no bad for it's price, but nothing special.
Like I says didn't know if the Hagstrom would be you're kinda thing or no but they're god wee guitars.

| Re: Gibson release more 'Robots' to the range I had a good blast at one of the original run robots, it's excellent. Really well made, they obviously put the time into this one. |
