| Re: Sound Control - oops! Every time I've bought a new guitar, I've checked out a few in sound control, then balked at the price and found the same guitar somewhere else cheaper.
Every time. Great selection (Well, great maybe an exageration, me being a lefty and all.) good service, totally professional etc etc.
Just too pricey. |

| Re: Sound Control - oops! the prices arent the best but i think over all its the best, i bought a fender bass in their like 6 years ago and i had problems with the bridge last year and they fixed it free of charge, also when i bought the fender it was £20 cheaper than in mccormacks

| Re: Sound Control - oops! They've fixed minor problems for me free of charge so many times and I've never even bought anything other than strings and a Boss tuner pedal.
Sometimes I suspect the guy fancies me. |

| Re: Sound Control - oops! I have nothing against Sound Control. Always have been helpful and have sorted a few minor problems for me free-of-charge. And following some haggling, i even got a good whack off the retail price of my Gibson, and they also threw in a good few top notch extras for nothing.
McCormacks is dearer for certain things, and Sound Control is a bit over priced for some things also, but some of there deals are great.
Though saying this, i was in McCormacks, and whilst i was having a chat with one of the staff, he offered a complete re-tonation of my guitar for nothing. For guitar servicing my choice is McCormacks, and for the rest it's SC.

| Re: Sound Control - oops! I'm only ever in sound control for strings or to pass time while I'm waiting on a bus. The customer service is generally okay but it's also where I experienced the worst and most embarrassing service in my life.
I know that Mogwai definitely won't miss it. |

| Re: Sound Control - oops! i found Sound Control service ok in my time. It is dear but you can haggle no problem with them. Found McCormacs good as well for years but times they can be a bit gash. The stock they have on guitars is really poor now mind.
I was in Guitar Guitar a month or so ago with the intention of buying a guitar and not one person asked me if i need help/advice or anything so just left after fifteen minutes.
