| Media players... suggestions... Ok, is there any such thing as a media player that plays both itunes and mps / wmv ?
Preferably a dj type program to mix and select tracks. I am using ITunes at the mo and its such a pain in the arse to use!
Any suggestions? |

| Re: Media players... suggestions... Tried Virtual DJ? It doesn't play videos but it's good for mixing and beatmatching, it also remembers your settings and the bpm for any tracks you play. |

| Re: Media players... suggestions... I happily recommend Jetaudio to most Window users.
Does everything, almost never crashes (which is the problem I initially had with winamp) cos its dead stable and has a really pleasant, simple interface. |

| Re: Media players... suggestions... For a media player then Jet Audio is the best, as long as you have the codec installed then it'll play any format. But they did mention that they wanted something for mixing, for that I'd use Virtual DJ as it's really easy to get used to.
Jet Audio beats the pants off Winamp because it's far more user friendly, crashes less and plays more formats. It's also better with videos than Winamp. The only thing that Winamp does which it doesn't is "Force Mono", but who needs that anyway?
Download it here. |

| Re: Media players... suggestions... the ultimate solution for mixing video is Video SL - you need a £900 dj mixer though and the software is £400 on top of that... so it may not be the solution you're looking for...
but isn't it cool?

| Re: Media players... suggestions... Ok I downloaded jetaudio... works smashingly, apart from one thing. The music randomly halfs its tempo at the start of songs. Not all songs, I havent checked but it might be when it changes format from m4a to mp3 or something. I know I can restore the tempo by pushing ctrl + f1... but is there a permanent setting that i can stop this from happening? |

| Re: Media players... suggestions... If you don't need to do video, definitely get the free Serato Scratch Live software from their website: http://www.serato.com/downloads
and have a look; without paying £400 for the hardware you can't control it with decks / CD players but it's still GREAT just using the laptop.
