Distortion pedals,

Need to get a new distortion pedal as mine is fucked.
Had a digitec death metal, I'm pretty set on getting another, but was wondering if anyone can recomend anything better for really harsh distortion.
I'm using it with my bass by the way.

Here are examples of what I need it for.

Re: Distortion pedals,

The best. It will also never break (how did you manage to break a distortion pedal, anyway?).

Re: Distortion pedals,

Here's a good example of a bass going through a Big Muff. Try to listen on a good set of speakers.

Re: Distortion pedals,

I'll give one a try,
The good thing about my digitec pedal is that it had two outputs so you could plug it into itself and it made weird noises. Also even with no signal going in, like if you turned the guitar right down, it still created distortion. May just try and get it fixed actually.

Re: Distortion pedals,

I agree with Les but this has made me want to hear a bass played through my Jackhammer. For shits and giggles.

Re: Distortion pedals,

Jackhammer destroys big muff everytime. Big muffs sound like a bear farting when plugged though a bass.

Re: Distortion pedals,

I'm probably gona stick with the digitec, but i'll check a few other things out. This makes it seem retarded though http://www.digitech.com/flash/DeathMetal.htm and it does have a stupid name.

Re: Distortion pedals,

The Death Metal is a pretty good pedal, i have to admit. I like the Big Muff too, but it's a different kind of noise... depends what you're after.

Bryan, take your shitey Marshall pedal and throw it in the clyde

Re: Distortion pedals,

I'm tempted to ask, why do you need a distortion pedal for any of that guff on your myspace page?
