Boss BR 600 Digital Recording

i bought a boss br 600 digital recorder today. im aware that there's various bits and pieces you need to buy along with it to use it properly. i don't have a USB adapter to connect it to my laptop. does anyone know where is could get the specific type needed for this? it's not a normal jack on the recorder end of it, it's a different shape. also, what sort of amplifier/speakers do i need to connect to it to play recordings? the jack on the back of the recorder seems to be for cd player/laptop sort of speakers. does anyone know whether i could plug an amp into an output on it? maybe through the pedal output? any explainations or help as to how to go from having it new in the box to set up ready to record a live performance would be good. cheers.

Re: Boss BR 600 Digital Recording

USB - looks like a straight USB lead, like you'd use for a printer.. flat end into the USB port on the computer.. square end into the bit on the back of the BR marked 'USB'..

Line Out - The audio out of the BR is standard RCA or 'Phono' connectors (the red and white bits).. same as any hi-fi separates would use. Should be piss easy to plug it into any amp.

You should also have 2 x 1/4" jack inputs for mics on the back, a mini-jack line in on the back (probably stereo), and a 1/4" jack input for an expression pedal.

There's also an additional 1/4" jack instrument in on the front for plugging your guitar or bass straight in for recording..
