| Schecter guitars at Merchy! Thought I'd post in case it was of any interest to anyone:
Sound Control had previously been the UK distributor for Schecter guitars, on the fairly rare occasion that you'd see one elsewhere, it'd be second hand.....not that that's a bad thing.
As you all likely know, Sound Control had had big problems and have now become Reverb etc, but I was having a wee gander online yesterday and saw that Merchant City Music are now stocking Schecters. Belter!
Cracking guitars for the money, seriously.

| Re: Schecter guitars at Merchy! The other guitarist in my current, and previous band play Shecter guitars, they're very nice pieces of work.
I'll stick to Ibanez but I can seriously understand why people play them.

| Re: Schecter guitars at Merchy! never been a huge fan of schecters, my previous guitar was a schecter and the amount of problems i had with it (have i still have it) is immense, the jack socket has fell out. the neck pickup has managed to cave in, never really tried one of the more expensive models. but if you have enough money for a mid level 400 plus quid, guitar then id look elsewhere

I've had jack sockets loosen in about all of my guitars, bit shit about the pick up though
I'd still recommend them, highly.
Got a C1 Plus for my 21st for like 399quid. Cracking guitar, cannot fault it one bit. Thing I like about it (well, one of the many lol) is it has a tone fairly similar to a LP, but has a super strat kinda body and 24 frets!
Got a couple of Ibanez guitars annol (VBT700 and an RG350MDX), belters annol.
Play different guitars for different styles but

True but you know what they say about first impressions, it is a complete personal opinion, but i didnt really like anything about it, but as you say it could have just been a bit of bad luck
