There are a few good units that can be hard wired to your CD player.
They come with a dock that chargers and all that jazz.
Depends on your make of car and all that.
Hi, I'm looking to buy an iTrip in a bid to avoid drowning in the ever increasing number of cds in my car.
Can you guys could recommend a good one please? Preferably one that has a charger attached so I can plug it in to my cigarette lighter.
Thanks.

Do it or don't. I've got places to be.
You should be okay.
I know halfords do them from about a ton (fitted)...

There are various kits, most need a bit of plumbing in..
OR, as Jammy said, you can go to Halfords and get a whole new stereo, with iPod link, bought and fitted for £90.

don't think that's really what i want
i just wanted something i could plug in to my lighter socket and tune in (also known as something i order online, take out of a box and operate with minimal effort)
You dont want one that works on radio frequencies.. they're a pain in the arse. Never work as well as they're claimed to do.

I would also prefer that it was portable between cars.
from experience the sounds quality is crap. Belkin is best of a bad bunch, the actual itrip being the worst.
Get a new stereo fitted with an ipod connector. I think that was already suggested
