Cymbals!

I cracked ANOTHER China, this time a Zildjian A Custom 18", shame, it was a nice cymbal.

Before y'all start with cymbal technique, it goes out the window live with death metal so don't judge!

I've ordered a new set which I better treat better, only for recording and gigs;

Sabian Vault's, anyone had any experience?

I've got the following;

14" Hats
18" Crash
20" Crash
21" Artisan Ride
19" Devestator Sig China

These will be used/substituted at times with;

20" Z Custom Power Ride
Meinl MB20 19" Crash
8" Sabian Paragon Splash
Zilbel 9.5"
13" A Custom MS Hats

Anyone give me a review of the vault stuff? It's meant to be great.

The Vault stuff is fantastic, I got a little shot of the crashes last year, still an HHX man but the vaults are definately considerable

I got them from the states i'm afraid! Saved about 50% off UK RRP on a deal from a store I use out there.

Aye, it's great for blasts, nice fast attack with a nice sound of the bell, it pretty much has negated the need for the Zilbel.

while you're there George, I'm missing my old mastersound hats..... if you hear of anything like that coming up second hand let me know. Still using the Rudes, just a bit mental for in the house.

No worries mate,

I cracked the top hat, EEP! But I drilled it, swapped the hats around (play the sound-edge at the top now) and they sound even better, LOL.

I'll keep my ear to the groud about them, I know a mate who's selling a set of 13" K/Z's

i played my mate's K/Zs for a show last year and i LOVE them

don't think i have any money just now though, bought a grand piano last week

seven-foot-two bluthner, in black. gorgeous.

getting delivered in two weeks, i can't wait.

and yeah, the K/Zs are amazing, i've got two pairs, K Custom Special Dry 14" that are dark and evil, and HHX 13" that are light and airy, but the K/Zs are a brilliant in-between sound that i really want.

I love my A Custom Mastersounds (thanks Chris!) but I'm looking forward to hearing the Vault hats.
