places that buy/give valuations for vinyl?

Right i've unearthed my slightly shameful vinyl collection and since i don't have a stereo let alone a turntable im gonna flog them. Most of it is generic 80's chart pish but there's a couple of bits in there that i think would be worth a bob or two. Is there anywhere in glasgow that would be willing to buy them off me and does anyone know of any reliable online valuation sites so i dont get a surprise, pleasant or otherwise when i take the stuff in?

Most places like Avalanch and missing will take them but you would get penuts for them

You could try Volcanic Tongue (http://www.volcanictongue.com/)

Not sure if they buy but they might be able to help you out with a valuation as they deal in rare vinyl.

I don't think Avalanch(e?) buy anymore, but they still do trade-ins.

For a trade in you generally get 1/3 of what they'll sell it for, but I'm sure Avalanche only give you credit to spend in store these days. Tried looking any of them up on eBay to see if they're going for more than you'd expect?
