| Re: Lets hear ya hey i never said you were all things at once. just sounds like you could have a go. i love that robert johnson song because it's so simple but holds so much emotion too. after listening to your phrasing i thought it would be cool to hear you doing it.
oh course it's very ephemeral. going from one extreme to the other
ok fairs fair. you tell me one song to learn too. as long as it's technically easy! i can't play much but it is fun sometimes grabbing hold of a tune's lyrics for a few seconds
i'm just into hearing you playing that song

| Re: Lets hear ya hmmm shoosh. i know bon jovi are a pretty crap 80s band but they do have a good guitar player richie sambora or somthing. i could never play to his standard so stop being cheeky wise guy.
give me a song that's simple.

| Re: Lets hear ya dont get smart funny boy. you know i can't play so superior. i just wanna hear you doing something lyrical in a different way you already do. as for me i can't play at the same level so don't hit me with bon jolly. don't you know any songs with slow lyrics that i can play? i mean songs you like and maybe i wont same as the one i gave you. oh wait i'll rephrase that. songs you think i will like same as the one i gave you i think you will like.
i just don't believe you really like bon jovi

| Re: Lets hear ya You asked for something easy I gave you something easy. Fuck sake.
You just don't even want to try do you. Whats point in playin when you wont even try to better yourself and/or try something new but instead just say 'no i cant do it' |

| Re: Lets hear ya lol ok hold on! just you saying bon jovi is kind reflecting on your sarcastic personality. but if you really are in love with them then i will try an learn a tune. oh i thought again. you are talking nonsence. richie sambora doesn't do anything simple. it's almost like asking me to do a via tune. are there any bon jovi tunes that are easy?

| Re: Lets hear ya they are commerce though. robert johnson was a wee bit because he had it in him to be mad famous. i like the way you can pick the melody out of his tunes. i've tried to do it but damn it's hard to keep the same rythomn. i'm on a mad trip at the moment though. connecting the pentatonic scale people use for blues but i've just realised celtic musicians use it too and my mate (who is wow amazing on guitar and learnt loads (he's a holdsworth fan )) told me that chinese music is pentatonic too! so i am tripping on the idea of wanting to hear people playing tunes that people like robert johnson played but not so much focusing on the guitar but focusing on the melody of what he's singing because it's so much more human when you're jamming alone singing to yourself and the guitar singing back to you because the guitar is your other voice

| Re: Lets hear ya lol true
but still! let's cut heads. i mean the 'let's here ya' thread is not getting much attention and i think this is a good forum for music so it would be cool to keep it alive. i know i will get slagged off for saying it but i don't care. you going to learn robert johnson? i will learn bon jovi if you really want but i don't think you were being serious. you are trying to be as sarcastic as me but it's just not

| Re: Lets hear ya you know that is part of the deal! check out rober johnson and do come on in my kitchen. i think led zep do it too? maybe it's the stones? anyway. it won't be hard for you to come across him he was in a karate kid film everyone is doing the moves in the park
really though. apart from the commercialism. robert johnson is cool. only reason i'm asking you to do come on in my kitchen is cause you play so many different styles and so does he in that one song. it's also about the devil more so than crossroads. the devil is asking him into the kitchen because it's bound to be raining outside and you know what it's like when it's pure freezing
