| Re: Lets hear ya Sounds like a hollow body with relatively heavy gauge strings and the tone knob down.
Also sounds DI'd from a multifx. |

Theres some pretty obvious influences in there. If you guys could tell what they are that would be sweet!
Also what gear do you think im using?
Make sure you have your windows media player EQ off or flat EQ on your speakers, it should sound best like that.

| Re: Lets hear ya that's cool. thing i like about you without wanting to sound sycophantic is you have a really brilliant sense of rythmn. when you play stuff, even other people's, it sounds like it's you playing and not just a carbon copy of them. there's like an overall feeling you're in charge of the tune and not it you. the song soloesque you did for your mate is excellent. i was thinking it's like you're influenced by other people than just metal speed merchants. some of the stuff on that is so smooth it reminds me a bit of allan holdsworth
ps that msn messenger bit keeps freaking me out. i'm not even signed in and i keep looking about the place

| Re: Lets hear ya If you want the truth I think that you get ahead of yourself.
You also use far too much gain, turn down the gain and concentrate on your picking. |

cheers man, thats what this thread is about , helping each other out and honest opinions.
I know about the gain, its was on ma dads old Vester strat copy, which practically needs gain at full tilt to get anythin other than a clean sound |

| Re: Lets hear ya Wasn't based on just that. Was on everything you have done, far too much gain and excess noise. Focus on playing something and watch your hand placements for creating and also to muffle the noise. |

| Re: Lets hear ya lol check out fallen angel being the devil's advocate just because he got chucked out of heaven. jm's guitar playing is amazing. who cares what the distortion is like when you have rythmn and control like that! he is beyond wondering about making sounds making it better. he is just cool as fuck already and making people weak at the knees that's what guitar playing is all about
angel you can do it too and i don't mean to sound like a dick but you're a prick because you're so arragont you forget everyone isn't so talented as you
