| Re: [Guitars] Lets hear ya Heres a clip of me messin around on one of my Frakenstrats.
This was before I swapped out the neck for a nice flamed maple neck and changed the pickup to a Bare Knuckle and added a Seymour Duncan in the neck (blasphemy??)
Its just me, muckin around with some random riffs. Some I don't really know all that well. Sound quality could have been better. Webcams for ya! |

| Re: [Guitars] Lets hear ya My word, is that you singing? You have a very impressive voice, that's not an easy tune to sing. The guitar is good too, I like you've kept it nice and simple, reminds me of Sting doing it at Live Aid 1985. What guitar are you using and how did you record it?

| Re: [Guitars] Lets hear ya Yes its me. Used my Euphoria9 and recorded in my bedroom.
It is like all my acoustic recordings, no messin about. Guitar and vocals live at same time.
This was a second take, I got 1 tiny lyric wrong but I left it at that.
I don't see how the guitar playing in it is any simpler than the actual song?
Most people cheat and don't actually play the riff. |

| Re: [Guitars] Lets hear ya Sounds nice man. Really nice fat bassy tone for the thicker strings.
I've also always found it easier to record vocals and guitar at the same time, get the mic placements right and you don't even have to plug the guitar in. Overdubbed vocals on anything will take me forever to be happy with, but acoustic + vocals together will get banged out in one or two takes. |
