i'm so glad you did it though cause it's a good contrast from jm's satch song extremist which is amazing, jm's guitar playing not the song. jm's playing is amazing he's like the metal version of the karate kid trying to win the devil's approval back heh the technique is wild and so casual too, like there were so many different things going on, going from one side of the neck to the other using bass and treble but being in control at the same time i was over the moon. i also love the beginning because it reminds me of old blues players playing the top bass and then just flinging in a strum of the bottom strings for rythmic and answer effect
i can't wait to hear you and jm playing your new songs cause even though they might not be structured so well i bet they are much more full of emotion.
btw jm those mad double or triple(?) stop bends are like mini es that was such a buzz when you played them how is that done?
more country and metal please

| Re: [Guitars] Lets hear ya so how is it you do those country bends? i've been trying to do a celtic double stop but i don't know what it's called. it's four frets apart, on the second string the 5th fret and the 8th on the first string, is that a minor third? you need to use loads of vibrato as well too.
jm, have you ever tried vai? you know vai is much better than satriani. let's hear some of your own stuff, first time i heard you it was your own stuff and it was brilliant
hey fa, have you ever tried using the country bends in metal music? i'd like to hear what that sounds like

| Re: [Guitars] Lets hear ya cool. would be good to hear something new.
who is your hero? like hendrix is obviously the best but apart from him? i know after blues music all guitarist's heros were based on who could do the blues best but in this new metal age with all the understanding of modes and techniques it's like the whole window has been blown open. like that nin song starfuckers, noone needs to fuck a star anymore because the playing field has become leveller lol but everyone still has a hero. ii downloaded some of a guy called buckehead and i thought i was going to get preconcieved metal but his chord progressions blew me away. ok damn it it's wrong to talk about music via theory but cause everyone knows it there has to be something new brought to the table.
some people call that personality but that's not true cause i've got the best personality in the world and even though i can play better than satch i can't play better than vai and hendrix well god dang his personality must've been developed before all biblical texts.
oh yeah getting back to nin. treznor seems to have some amazing guitarists playing for him.
oh wow wait, i meant who are your heros and why are they your heros?

| Re: [Guitars] Lets hear ya ok jm this request is for you personally cause i've seen you twice casually playing that satch song; watch jeff beck playing this and then copy him. [IMG]yeah [/IMG]i don't mean that as a challenge cause i know you can do it easy, i would love to hear you doing something other than metal just cause metal seems to be all about attitude and the melody of the beatles seems to be all about the tune. i'll try and concice is; satch composes hsi tunes but beck tries to recompose other peoples tunes suing the guitar. i think that's the hardest thing a guitar player will ever be asked to do, recreating the melody that a singer sung, but as you've already shown, you can sling a bit of vibtrato in there and another bit of slide and still come back for more down at the engine, ah no maybe that's the one that's too long cause we have to keep with the melody and not keep getting it fices in the engine oooyyyyy yeeeaahhhhhh i think it's you that's from the house of lords :smokiong: it would be cool if you did that right now

| Re: [Guitars] Lets hear ya Here's another vid that i shoved onto Youtube a while back.
First off for this video it's a bit dark because i forgot to switch off the light filter I also decided to give a go at hooking my guitar straight up to my pc so it'll sound different than my other vids. I recorded this in May:
Got another few vids going up on YouTube soon, though won't be recording, or playing any more guitar for now as i've managed to damage the joint in my finger and have to rest it for few months
