The big blackout

does anyone else find the blackouts in america as a form of natural justice? all the shit america pulls and all the lives they have destroyed recently in iraq and they thought they were getting away with it then bang a ligtning strike sends them all into darkness for what ...like three days?? hahahaha i liked the way they all shat themselves about terrorist attacks just shows what a guilty conscience the americans have.. they know theyve done wrong and have a lot of haters out there. i mean when you get a power cut over here does anyone immediately jump to the conclusion "shit, its terrorists whats coming next??" haha no way we all phone the local council and shout at them cos we wanna watch a dvd or sumthing. anyways a power cut in america hardly obtains retribution for families who lost loved ones in the war but it could be seen as a message by the US to maybe get that idiot out of power before he realy gets them in trouble.... peace

edit: the america mentioned here is the political america and not the american people.

It's a timely reminder that they still need to pay attention to domestic matters aswell as "policing" the world.

Re: The big blackout

indeed. they forget they can be targeted too. i think they felt invincible up until sep 11th and since then have been making as many rash decisions as possible in order to gain some felling of safety.

Good point, never thought of it that way... however, the blackout also knocked out Ontario, Canada which was bad a) because Canada had nothing to do with the Iraq thing, they kept entirely neutral through the whole thing and b) some of us (me, for example) have loved ones over there = much worry.

It annoyed me that the press made a big deal of the power going out in New York, and didn't seem to care much that exactly the same thing was going on in Ontario.

Re: The big blackout

true another good point. i have family out in both the US and canada and luckily neither of em live in areas that were hit by the blackout but yeah if they had been i wouldve been worried. in that sense its of course not good that anywhere got hit by the blackout as i guess there would be a lot of electrical problems which may be dangerous for people in the area. and most of the people affected by the actual blackout have nothing to do with any of the political goings on in the US. my point was not hitting at the actual civilians of the US and especially not canadians. more of a point and laugh thing going on towards bush and his cronies.

monk23785 is an unknown quantity at this point
it just shows you how the thick the economic division of the american government is, they go spend billions on war but they can't be bothered to put the money into update their power stations and lines. surely it would make more sense to have done this 1st

Re: The big blackout

man since writing this thread i delved a bit further into the personal stories and have changed my original view. its not the people of america i find mirth in they had a shit time of it and its not their fault, i was reading experiences from american doods on the ztrip forums and they good people not to mention the people i know in america are all sound people so my laughter is directed solely towards bush and his cronies. the americans didnt even vote this idiot in but with all the shit hes pullin and the fear the civilians are in should gaurantee the people stop him from cheating his way into the white house ever again.

much apologies to the american people who know what time it is i shouldnt have posted threads without thinkin into the human aspects of it. my bad.
peace
