^^yes, but; if we *have* to discuss this can we consider that many people involved in this were lied to regarding the age of the 'person in question' and it may not be pertinent to mention said establishment given all the hassle that we all went through last time.

additionally, given past moderators 'take' on this, it has been custom and practice to remove the name(s) of thse performing the underage procedure - and i'm drawing flash tonight, so i don't have the time or inclination to watch every new posting and remove the name of anyone who has performed underage tattooage or piercing.

I’m of the opinion that good tattooists and good piercers, come to the profession as a calling. It’s something that they enjoy doing – helping people to actualise the way that they want their body to look. There’s an amount of knowledge required (health and safety law, anatomy etc) , so it’s not really a job for someone with no inclination to study. It’s not necessarily a job that makes a wodge of cash. Although some body modification costs can be high, there are overheads – and particularly with tattooing, it can be seasonal work (the majority of tattoos are done at the wrong time of year – things can trail off a little in the winter.) It can be a difficult job – you need people skills in abundance and need to be able to deal with various bodily emissions, blood, piss, vomit etc without getting freaked out. But if you’re doing it for the joy of doing it, because you are passionate about it, rather than the ‘glamour’ and ‘money’, then things are going ok.

Until someone turns up and manages to kid you that they are legally of age for a tattoo or certain piercing.

‘You’ might think that you’re being oh-so-punk-rock and grown up by getting a clit hood or a tattoo when you are legally under-age…you’re not, you are being an extremely selfish child. You are jeopardising someone’s livelihood by your actions.

People who knowingly tattoo or pierce minors deserve to be fined or imprisoned, because they are doing a dis-service to the customer and the professions. People who are lied to and treated like glorified off-licence assistants by determined little *****’s deserve the right to sue those who have mis-represented themselves with fake ID and attempted to take away their means of employment.

I’m not going to call anyone a skank, male or female, based on what they type on an internet forum. Certain piercings have an association with sexual proclivity. If that’s how you want to be perceived, fine, there are other ways of doing it.
