Does anyone know of any decent places in Glasgow who pierce nipples at 16 without parental consent?
I'm not entirely sure whether the legal age is 16 and most places just prefer you to be 18 for moral reasons, or if the legal age actually is 18?

Hello....welcome to Alt.Nation.
As far as I know, the legal age is 16 with consent and 18 without. To be honest, any place that doesn't enforce this is definately not worth going to.

This is pure speculation, however I strongly suspect there is an angle of ‘inappropriate exposure or touching’ when dealing with somebody under eighteen years old (although less so somebody over sixteen), and the legal liability of that would be largely absolved by concrete parental consent or proof of adulthood. | |

You'll also find that the majority of piercers will not pierce genitals or nipples on anyone under the age of 18 regardless of parental consent.

I know I got ID'd on Friday in Nirvana for mine and I'm 23 in 3 months time, so I'd imagine that other reputable places would be just as strict.

I just turned 17 today and fancied giving myself a wee birthday present =[
I know that Kenny's in the Forge will pierce them without consent when yr over 16, but I wouldn't really go to him tbh.
He actually pierced one of my friends nipples when she was 13 with parental consent. Which just isn't good at all =/. | |

i think i'm more freaked out that a parent would consent to that type of piercing at the age of 13!

Burning Monkey in the Argyle Market, we do it. aslong as yer 16 and if ye dont look it ye at least have some sort of ID.
