| hmm, it might be some security...anyway, it's Aberdeen Proving Grounds. "The most diverse test facility within the Department of Defense". http://www.aberdeen-md.org/ "Proud Yesterday, Progressive Tomorrow" ... and boy do they loooove Cal Ripken (Jr). I for one do not understand the allure of baseball. |

| way to go to attract visitors!!
there's actually a guy from Aberdeen, Scotland who is trying to visit every Aberdeen in the world, last I heard he had a couple left in Africa.
& on the military side of things, theres a shooting range just North of Aberdeen which means that at times if you walk along the beach bullets fly overhead, our school used to organise sponsored walks that way! |

'Course, by our school we've got the Hell's Angels...and by our beach we've got the Pagan's. Southern Maryland is a haven for biker gangs. 'Specially when the Tiki Bar is up and running. |

| Re: Re: Aberdeen Since I moved to the UK from Oz in 98, I've lived In Edinburgh (4 times), London (2 times), Manchester, Majorca and Aberdeen. Whilst Edinburgh will always be the place I'll eventually settle down, I gotta say I'd much rather be n Aberdeen than Manchester or London. The neds tend to be a little more outspoken, but they don't carry guns like the scallies in Manchester, And the vastness of London was just too much for me, though I loved living in Camden Town. I think Aberdeen is a city still with it's small town outlook on life which makes for a great style of living. I can get to Inverness to relax or Edinburgh or Glasgow to party, all within the space of two hours travel. Brilliant!
Oh, and ion? perhaps you've not been to the mighty moshulu in a while. We've made some great changes and the live music capabilities we've installed promise some ace gigs coming up. |
