On April 16th, Heroes is proud to present a Scottish exclusive - the launch party for the new Garbage album, 'Bleed Like Me'.
No other band epitomises the sound of Heroes more than Garbage. A galloping mix of buzzsaw guitars, a mash of samples, an elegant discordancy and tough electronic beats provide the backbone, much like the music played on the night. Then there is Shirley Manson. A local Hero, born and bred in Edinburgh, no-one since Siouxsie Sioux has managed to combine an icy cool demeanour and glamorous dysfunction to such effect.
10 million album sales since they formed ten years ago, 'Bleed Like Me' has been tipped to be their best work since their eponymous debut. We will be playing new tracks from the record and giving away rare promo material.
As if this wasn't enough, we will also have Electroluvs performing live. This fantastic glasgow duo are proving that the new electronic scene isn't just thriving in New York and London.
On Electroluvs:
" The sounds are as analogue as possible, harking back to the days of manual tuning and transistorised electro mechanics. Welcome to the world of Dr Who rock n roll and tracks that really do seem for real and which are nothing less than essential." JA (Manchester music)
