You could have it so much better with...Heroes! (and Franz).
Everyone loves Franz Ferdinand don't they? 3 million people bought their debut after all. America lapped them up... my GRANNY adores them forgawdskes. Heroes is no exception - we just cant get enough of their angular-tight-of-crotch-high-of-cheekbone-indie-disco-floorfillers.
Maybe Franz Ferdinand love Heroes too. They've decided to let us host their new album release party after all. They've also given us a bunch of their merchandise to give away on the night - T-Shirts / CDs / Dior Homme red leather ties. (Ok maybe not the Dior, but we can but hope.)
Heroes is holding this hipper-than-thou shindig at the Jekyll & Hyde Bar, a week after we host the album launch party for Ladytron (who supported Franz at their gig on Princes St).
You may dance to their new record at this venue as it has a dancefloor and smoke and disco lights etc. Which is rather fun. Your player of records will be 'Voodoo Doll' who plays
mutant disco, evil pop, cheap euro dance, electro trash, no wave, new grave, pretentious art rock and indie grime.
Heroes is a club, run by an arts collective of musicians, designers, make-up artists, performers, dancers, writers and so on who have come together to form a kind of amorphous performance mass that tours venues entertaining audiences with their outrageous performances.
Heroes has been called "Innovative" by The Metro and "Aggressive and progressive... long overdue" by The List.
