| Re: The Cot Death EP... I suppose there's a number of reasons why we haven't gigged the band, probably everyone having jobs and other projects is the main one. It's actually a fucking nightmare playing on a 3 or 4 band bill for us as well - the Garden Party was good craic but we were the only "band" on that day and it was a dnb crowd so i think it worked better - we played in front of a punk crowd in Manchester and peeps were just bemused. I'd love to get a gig on at a Glasgow Pangea at the Art School if that was possible though - i reckon it would go down pretty well in that environment.
Tbh, Pendulum are crap but i'm a wee bit pissed off that they've become a bigger name since we released the EP, it'll no doubt bring on countless comparisons if we were to get anywhere. |

If anything, the "pendulum boom" will help a band like yours. |

Still, just because this thread is in the Pangea forum doesn't mean it has to degenerate into an argument about Pendulum. I started it, I'm stopping it. More about Cot Death. |

I would defend them to a point - i think their mixes are pretty good but their albums are pretty average. |

Just a bit messy and the sound wasn't that good. Cotdeath lends itself to a bigger venue with a beasting PA. Pub gigs where everything isn't mic'd up is a bit pointless because it just sounds like a racket. |

You can understand my confusion though, beast of a fucking EP then...nothing.
Hah, is Ed the only one of you not in My Own Religion? |

Hah, is Ed the only one of you not in My Own Religion? | It's frustrating for sure. We obviously don't have the fanbase where we can get our own setup and have everything going our way, as i said earlier the best way to do would probably be to play Pangea again (nudge nudge, wink wink JZY ) or somewhere that had a good PA like the Catty maybe.
Aye Ed's the only one although i'm positive he spent the whole gig giving me the fingers, i can't prove it but the back of my head was burning. |
