Re: As Easy As Riding a Bike

Top of a grass hill, stabilizers off, hold the seat and run with it, before long let go and keep shouting "pedal" . if they fall off don't make a fuss, laugh and say it was a great crash and make a joke about it, helps them with the fear and the grass will be soft anyway. After each fall get them back on and to the top of the hill, honestly, after about 10 go's he should be away. Once he's riding about the grass no problem then move to the pavement. Remember!! helmet and pads...

good luck.

Do kids really wear the helmet and pads to go out on their bikes?

Really depends on the parents, i would when just teaching them to ride a bike.
I do see a lot of kids these days with helmets on especially in Kelvingrove park where i ride all the time. Its better to be safe i suppose.

I totally agree that they are a good safety measure I just wondered how many kids would actually wear the gear.
