    free things to take yer sprogs to this weekend (12th and 13th April)

    As part of the Glasgow Subway festival "going underground" the underground have organised loads of kid friendly events.

    Kining park underground has a Design your own shield and a special effects make - up workshop for kids aged over 7. (both on Saturday and Sunday)

    On Sunday if you go along with an underground ticket you get your kids in free to the Caprisun funday with facepainters kids films, free stuff and prizes.

    pick up an events leaflet / programme at any underground station or visit

    Last time I got my face painted I had the guy put the Ultimate Warrior makeup on me.

    Admittedly, I was 10, so it's marginally less inexcusable.
